SSSGC YOGYAKARTA: INAUGURATION OF 10 CLEAN WATER TABs IN GUNUNG KIDUL

Water is the source of life, this is the basis for implementing water projects in various countries. This is also the idea of ​​SSSGC Yogyakarta which is supported by SSSGC Jakarta to carry out the construction of clean water storage tanks in Gunung Kidul Regency to take the momentum to welcome the 2019 Aradhana Mahotsavam Commemoration. Areas where clean water is hard to get. After about three months of work, 10 tanks and 2 drilled wells were finally completed. On April 26, the first drilled well and tub were handed over to residents in Senggotan Hamlet, Ngoro-oro Village, Kec. Pathuk Gunung Kidul. The well is 80 m deep which is enjoyed by 33 families. And the next day, April 27, the second well was inaugurated in Ngasem Ayu Patuk Village, Gunung Kidul. 84 meters deep which is enjoyed by 150 families. The thanksgiving event was attended by Village Officials and community leaders and of course from SSSGC Jogya, SSSGC Jakarta. Before they got this clean water facility, villagers took water from dug wells and from the river. As information, for almost 20 years the Clean Water Project in Gunung Kidul has built 271 storage tanks with an average capacity of 20,000 liters, each tank is enjoyed by 50-100 households (400 people). per day used by residents. The coral reef area makes Gunung Kidul experience difficulties with clean water.
