SSSGC Yogyakarta - Grama Seva 1.450 Basic Food Packages in Gunung Kidul Yogyakarta
SSSGC Yogyakarta in commemoration of the Mahasamadhi of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai & Mahabhikkhu Ashin Jinarakkhita held a Grama Seva in Gunung Kidul serving 1,450 people, which was attended by SSSGC Jambi, Lampung, Bandung and Jakarta.

On Friday to Saturday, May 24-25 2024, SSSGC Yogyakarta, Indonesia held a Grama Seva in the Village, Gunung Kidul, Special Region of Yogyakarta, with the theme "Grama Seva is Rama Seva," which means service to the village community is the same as service to God. This activity served 1,450 people and involved 32 devotees. The event was attended by Mrs. Zuki as chairman and seva coordinator in Yogyakarta, and this event was attended by the President of SSSGC Indonesia Brother Hansen Tanujaya as well as various Sai Centre president from various Sai Centers in Indonesia, they are Mrs. Zuki from SSSGC Yogyakarta, Mrs. Koshu from SSSGC Jelita Bandung, Mr. Irwandi from SSSGC Dago Bandung, Mrs. Leticia from SSSGC Cahaya Kasih Lampung, Sis Melyanda from SSSGC Sai Ananda Jambi, Broher Johnny Wong from SSSGC Jakarta, and the other devotees.
The participants happily distributed rice, salt, flour, vermicelli, cooking oil, instant noodles, wafers, boxes of yellow rice, fruit ice, peach gum and clothes to the community. The seva takes place over two days, serving three different villages.
On the first day, SSSGC Yogyakarta together with the people of Walikangin Village carried out joint prayer activities and distributed 200 basic food packages in memory of Mr. Mohan Mirpuri and Prof. Anil Kumar used to do a lot of seva in this village.
Then on the second day, in commemoration of Mahasamadhi Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba & Maha Bhikkhu Ashin Jinarakkhita (SUKONG), 1,250 basic food packages were distributed in Karangtengah Village, then continued in Danggolo Village, Gunung Kidul.
We started the seva by departing from Sai Center Yogyakarta at 09:00 WIB and returning to Sai Center Yogyakarta at 19:00 WIB. The event closed with Bhajans.
