SSSGC Indonesia: Mahila Wing Indonesia Launches "Forever 19" Program with October 2024 Activities, Distributing 407 Food Packages in the Spirit of "Love in Action"

We seek everyone’s blessings and take this opportunity to introduce our brand label, “Forever 19.” Swami has lovingly attached a label to all His children—some are engaged in Balvikas, some in the Seva Wing, and others in various spiritual endeavors. Among them, we proudly identify as the “Mahila Wing” (Ladies Wing).

But who are we truly? We are a diverse group of “Mahilas,” encompassing sisters, daughters, mothers, and even great-grandmothers. While we are aware of the meaningful work we contribute, it prompts us to reflect on our deeper identity.

This reflection naturally leads us to Swami and the significance of “Ladies Day,” celebrated annually on November 19th. Swami has chosen this date, engraving it into our hearts and minds. We were His children, we are His children now, and we will “forever” remain His children.

It is from this profound connection that the label “Forever 19” emerged. Our motto, “Love in Action,” has guided the Mahila Wing for many years, reminding us of Swami's teachings and the importance of serving others sincerely.

In essence, this is a brief explanation of our SSSGC (Indonesia) Mahila Wing’s “Forever 19” label. With this identity, we embrace a commitment to various activities that honor the number “19,” ensuring that we continually remember its significance and the love that Swami has bestowed upon us.

Forever 19: Celebrating Ladies Day and the Mahila Wing’s Commitment to Service

Swami has lovingly designated November 19th as “Ladies Day” – a day celebrated worldwide each year in honor of women. For the Mahila Wing of SSSGC Indonesia, this day and the number “19” have become symbols of their deep love and devotion to Swami. Out of this devotion, they have adopted “Forever 19” as their unique brand and identity, with the motto “Love in Action” guiding their path for many years. This powerful label represents the unwavering dedication of the Mahila Wing to serve and follow Swami’s teachings wholeheartedly.

The Forever 19 Initiative

With “Forever 19” as their guiding identity, the Mahila Wing of SSSGC Indonesia encourages each Sai Center Mahila team to dedicate the 19th of each month to acts of service and connection. These monthly activities can take many forms, such as a bhajan session, a service activity (seva), a social gathering, or simply distributing a meal packet to someone in need. The main focus is to honor the significance of the 19th, reinforcing Swami’s love and motivation for the Mahilas to make a positive impact, however small or big.

October 19th, 2024 Activities

On October 19th, 2024, the Mahila Wings of seven Sai Centers across Indonesia united to distribute 407 meal and seva packets through street sevas, organized preparations for future seva projects, held a dedicated “19 Bhajan” session, and hosted a spiritual retreat that included prayer and bhajans. This impactful day showcased the spirit of “Forever 19,” uniting the Mahilas in love and service in honor of Swami’s teachings.

The Mahila Wing is hopeful that each month, the significance of the 19th will inspire more members to come together in acts of kindness, motivated by Swami’s love and blessings.
